Getting Here

Dumaguete City is accesible by land, sea and air transportation: It is one hour and 15 minutes by plane from Manila to Dumaguete City. There are two daily direct flights from Manila. There are alsoFerrys from Manila, Cebu, Mindinao, and Illoilo.

Both Cebu Pacific and Ait Philippines offer daily flights. Asian Air is said to be starting limited service from Dumaguete soon.

The Super Ferry from Manilla travels twice a week to Dumaguete and back. This is a leisurly cruise which takes the better part of two days. Fares from about 800 Pesos during frequent promotional offers, to 2000 plus for private cabin.

Ceres buses connect to Dumaguete from the South terminal in Cebu City. You can either take the bus to a ferry at Liluan, or Batu, or opt to ride the bus directly to Dumaguete. In this case the bus boards a large transport ferry to make the Tanon striaght crossing, about 30 minutes.

Either way the whole trip will take 4-6 hours depending on the method and connections.

There is also a fast ferry from Cebu to Dumaguete, as well as an overnight Barge ferry by George Peter lines.
